Don’t give the people do’s and don’ts. Give them the Gospel. Evangelism is like fishing. You don’t clean the fish in the sea before you catch it. A fisherman first catches the fish, kills it, before he brings it home for cleaning.
Certain types of Gospel presentation amounts to trying to clean the fish before you catch it. Telling a sinner how bad her dressing is, or how uncouth his speech is, before you win them would amount to trying to clean the fish before you catch it.
The Gospel is good news and this must be presented to even those that may have hurt you as a person. When a man hurts you real bad, the natural thing to say is “God punish you” But this is bad news.
Unbelievers are already so used to bad news that they don’t need any more addition to the ones they get through the media and by their careless living. You must give out glad tidings even when you don’t feel glad about the conduct of the soul.
