A man that does not know who he is will not know where he is going or what he is called to do. People are destroyed for lack of knowledge. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children” (Hosea 4:6).
Most people do not understand what it means to be a Christian. To be a Christian is not merely an idle venture, neither is it an ordinary label to be identified with. Rather, Christianity is a life that must be lived; an identity that must be demonstrated.
A Christian is one who is like Christ. Christ testified about His Father and we all must bear testimony about Christ. Witnessing is all about bearing testimony about the power in the name of Jesus.
You are a witness wherever you find yourself. If you are a teacher, you are a witness for Jesus in the schools. If you are a doctor, you are a witness in the hospitals. If you are a waiter or a chef, you are a witness in the hotels and restaurants.
Acts 14:7 states that God “left not Himself without a witness.” He has planted Christians in the civil service, in industries, in cities and in villages to testify of His love for mankind. Unfortunately, many of those God has strategically planted to testify for Him are ignorant of their role. This unfortunately has brought damage to the Kingdom of God.
