It is time to move out in new directions.  Do the unexpected, think outside the box.  Get out of your comfort zone.  Let the spirit of innovation guide you all the way.

The Apostle Paul says, “…Eyes has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of men the things which God has prepared for those who love him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.  For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.  For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of man, which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God” (I Corinthians 2:9-12).

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of innovations and new beginnings. He is the Spirit of creation and creativity. He is the specialist in dealing with formlessness, voidness and darkness.  At the onset of creation the earth was without form, void and darkness permeated everywhere. It was the Spirit of God that hovered over the waters to deal with the ravages of shapelessness, emptiness and ignorance. Genesis 1:1-3 describes the event.  “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”

To experience personal new beginnings and new trends in this season, you must avoid displaying a predetermined mindset which fights change or movement in new directions.  As Myles Monroe has counseled, “…explore the uncharted worlds of the untested” (p. 258).  Move out in new directions.  Follow the path to new trails.  Refuse to remain in your comfort zone. There is a new world waiting for you to explore. You will be amazed with the opportunities it offers to you and those you are assigned to bless.
