Perversion ensues whenever purpose is either not known or ignored. There are many Christians, claiming to be partakers of Abraham’s blessing and prosperity, who are not willing to do what Abraham did. They regularly sing the song below without any indication of knowing the essence of what they are saying.
Abraham’s blessings are mine

I am blessed in the morning
I am blessed in the evening
Abraham’s blessings are mine.
The people who will partake of Abraham’s prosperity must belong to Christ. They must appreciate the fact that they are Abraham’s descendants by faith.
They must be willing to receive the promises upon which Abraham’s prosperity was built. Galatians 3:29 says “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Those who will partake of Abraham’s prosperity must be:
MALLEABLE PEOPLE
Those who can adapt to situations and circumstances and be willing to ride on the wings of the wind of change. They have the capacity to move out of their comfort zone whenever God prompts them to do so. They will have the spirit of Abraham who at 75 years old was not afraid to obey God’s instruction to leave the land of his nativity.
MEDITATIVE PEOPLE
Those able to engage in deep contemplation. They have the capacity to receive a word even in their moment of crisis. They speak the word, think the word, observe and do the word according to Joshua 1:8: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
MISSIONARY-MINDED PEOPLE
Those who know that they are on divine assignment and willing and obedient to answer the missionary call. They are mobile like Abraham, obedient like Paul who received the call of a man in a vision saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
Such people are not disobedient to the heavenly vision. Neither do they consider the cost of discomfort that will accompany them as they answer the call.
Like Paul, they can say “To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now” (1 Corinthians 4:11-13).
METICULOUS PEOPLE
They are careful about details. This enables them to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, which directs every of their moves. They are not status quo minded and they understand that through faith and obedience, God can show them things that eyes have not seen, nor ears heard according to the Word of God in 1st Corinthians 2:9-10: “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”
MOTIVATED PEOPLE
They are enthusiastic and gingered by God even in time of crisis. They depend on God rather than on their intellect, prowess or abilities. Such people understand that “God can use an egg to crack a kernel, so that the stones can be ashamed.”
They know how they can use a weak but motivated vessel to accomplish mighty acts according to the Word of the Lord in 1 Corinthians 1:26-29: “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.”
MAGNETIC PEOPLE
These are people who are attractive and capable of influencing people. Their faith and obedience attracts people to them. They carry the unction of Jesus who often drew multitudes that came to hear Him speak and be nourished with food.
They also manifest the grace of Abraham who attracted people that were not necessarily his biological children but nonetheless live with him. Genesis 14:14 tells us that Abraham was able to arm 318 people as “…trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit of those who kidnapped Lot and his family members.”
MORTIFIED PEOPLE
These are those who have brought their passions and appetites under control. They are disciple, devoted and determined to accomplish assignments. They are willing to lay down their lives and livelihoods at the beck and call of a divine prompting.
They are like Abraham, who was ready to sacrifice Isaac, his only son. Such people understand the revelation in Isaiah 51:2; “Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him.” The mortified understand that they are called, blessed and increased.
Determine to be in the company of Abraham’s descendants who believe that they are called, blessed and empowered to live a prosperous life. Declare, like Mary, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38). Make this proclamation:
I am a seed of Abraham
I am called
I am blessed
I am increased
I am prosperous
