Many potential bridegrooms are sitting at the bride’s door instead of standing. Sitting suggests a state of unseriousness, lack of focus or even direction. Standing indicates a readiness to move and be moved by invitation. No man can enter into a door by sitting at the door.

Only an emotionally crippled man will sit at the door when he should be standing in preparation to enter. This is exactly what many men are doing. They meet beautiful and intelligent women, whose hearts are like doors waiting to be opened, but who are frustrated by timid and indolent men, who just come around them, say nothing and block others from coming into her life by sitting at the door. How can you be at the beautiful gate of a woman’s heart and you are sitting like the crippled man at the Beautiful Gate in the Bible? It is a shame that you are sitting at the beautiful gate, when you should be standing in preparation to enter. There are things you must do for yourself. No woman wants to come to her door to drag you into her house, not unless she’s desperate.

No woman wants a man who is crippled, whether emotionally, psychologically or physically. Better stand up now, if you are still sitting after all I have said. Better wake up from your slumber, if you have laid a mattress at a woman’s door, snoring like a fool in broad day light. Stand! Don’t sit or squat at her door. Get ready to go in!
