“So Ahimaaz called out and said to the king, “All is well!” Then he bowed down with his face to the earth before the king, and said, “Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delivered up the men who raised their hand against my lord the king!” The king said, “Is the young man Absalom safe?” Ahimaaz answered, “When Joab sent the king’s servant and me your servant, I saw a great tumult, but I did not know what it was about” (2 Samuel 18:28-29)
The Ahimaaz Company of messengers are the bearers of the “all is well” message. This is the false prosperity message without balance. Over the years many ministers from America and to some extent Europe have taught their African counterpart the prosperity message. From the early 1980’s this message became so dominant that it has virtually taken over many churches. This is the “all is well” message. It is rooted in covetousness and selfishness. It cares little or nothing about the state of the city or the nation, the nation can burn provided the individual is okay. Many ministers only teach what will benefit the individuals in their congregation.
The people are not discipled to disciple the nation. Issues affecting politics and the economy of the nations are rarely discussed. The messengers are ill-equipped by their training to discuss such as economic development, health care and good government. On the contrary individuals are taught that even if the whole economy collapses, poverty is not their portion. The entire society can fry, provided the individual church member is on okay.
Furthermore, the need to flee from sin and live a righteous life is never emphasized. Adulterers, executive thieves and a mixed multitude of people are daily fed with sensual message that promotes worldliness instead of holiness. As far as the messengers are concerned you are the righteous if you go to church. Thus they are bold to declare “say unto the righteous, it is well with you”. In many congregations are “righteous” adulterers and thieves”. Every Sunday, they are fed with a message of charismatic witchcraft, manipulating them to “give so it can be given unto them”.
To tell a congregation “all is well”, when all is not well with their souls amounts to being an Ahimaaz type messenger. Notice that such messengers also see a lot of tumult but they don’t know what it is all about.
