The problem most people have is that they deride the spiritual weapons God has made available to them. You need a revelation of the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus and the word of God. When you use these weapons in addition to aggressive love and dynamic prayer, victory is sure to be yours. But there can be no victory without repentance.
You must do detailed and comprehensive confession of sins and repentance. This will give you the legal ground to victory.
David used just one stone out of five to defeat Goliath. The giant had despised the stone and the sling as if they could only kill a dog. “And the Philistine said to David, am I a dog, that thou comest to me with stones? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods” (1 Samuel 17:43).
The same is true of how people reject the ability of Jesus to solve the crisis of their lives. Yet “the stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes” (Psalm 118:22-23).
Don’t despise the weapons of love, forgiveness, repentance and prayer. These weapons can never fail if you trust in the Lord. Hold on to the name of Jesus; plead the blood, use the word.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked; And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:10-18).
